School Fundraising

All students in the school benefit from money raised by means of various fundraising events. The money is used to purchase additional school resources or to offer financial support for cultural and sporting trips. These events are well patronised by both the School and local Inverell community.

Major fundraising events of the year include:

HOUSIE
Housie takes place at the Inverell RSM Club (Flanders House) each Wednesday Evening commencing at 7.00pm and on Friday afternoons between 12noon and 3.00pm.  Housie is staffed by volunteer helpers.  If you are able to help out, and would like to become a team member contact the school office.

EASTER FAIR – (last Sunday before Easter)
This is one of the major fundraising events of the year. Parents, staff and students organise and run a variety of stalls, offering something for everyone. The Easter Fair is always a successful day financially and socially.

ART UNION – Drawn at the Trinity Race Day (Caulfield Cup Day)
The art union is conducted in the months leading up to the Holy Trinity Race Day.
The major prize this year is a Mazda 2 Maxx 1.5 litre, 5 speed manual from Gaukroger Mazda.  Minor prizes include: a $400 open order from Country an' Workin' Gear; and an 80 cm LCD TV from Inverell Retravision.

Tickets are available from Payless Shoes (Anthony Michael); the School Office; and on entry to the Holy Trinity Race Day at the Inverell Race Course.

Unfortunately, due to the equine influenza quarantine requirements, the Caulfield Cup meeting at the Inverell Race Course has been cancelled.  The Art Union will now be drawn at the Inverell RSM Club on Saturday, October 20.

MAXWELL STREET BLUES
Dance the night away to entertainment provided by the Maxwell Street Blues band, who only get together for this special event. Couples and singles usually bring a plate as well as their dancing shoes and rock on for hours to the unique sounds of this highly regarded musical outfit.

HOLY TRINITY GOLF DAY
The inaugural Holy Trinity Golf Day was held in 2005 at the Inverell Golf Club. Many businesses and individuals donated prizes and their time to ‘tee’ off what will hopefully be an annual highlight on the Holy Trinity social calendar. The event was a 3-person Ambrose, which means non-golfers can play and be eligible to win any of the numerous prizes offered on the day.

MELBOURNE CUP TRIFECTA
Another popular fundraiser for the school is the selling of Melbourne Cup Trifecta tickets. This process happens with students taking tickets home to sell in the weeks preceding the Melbourne Cup.
