Student Progress Reports

INFANTS
Student Portfolios are sent home at the end of each term.  A written Progress Report is included in the Portfolio in terms 2 and 4. The Portfolios contain a cross section of work samples from all KLAs from throughout the term.  Parent teacher interviews are held in terms 1 and 3.  If necessary, parents will be contacted outside of these times in regards to academic or behavioural concerns.

An Information Evening for the following years Kindergarten is held in term 4. Years 1 & 2 Information Evenings are held early in term 1. Parents receive the background to the curriculum, expectations of their child and the routine of the class during these sessions.

PRIMARY
Reporting to parents is designed to promote dialogue between home and school. Reporting is both formal and informal providing information on student progress.

A Parent information evening is held early in term 1, (usually about week 3). This evening is designed to inform parents of the requirements for the year, plus upcoming excursions, sacramental programmes, basic skills and primary writing assessments.

At this time parents are invited to arrange individual interviews.

While parents are encouraged to arrange interviews at any time to discuss the progress or concerns of their child, the next formal interview is held at the end of term 2 when the interim report is distributed.

Portfolios are used to show parents a collection of work samples from a variety of Key Learning Areas. These are sent home at  the end of terms 1 and 3 and parents are encouraged to fill in a feedback response sheet.

SECONDARY
Written reports are sent home at the end of terms 2 & 4.

Parent Teacher Interviews for Years 7 to 10 are held in term 2.

An Information Evening for the students in Year 6 going to Year 7 is held in term 4 for Parents and Students.

In term 4, years 8 and 9 have an Elective Information Evening so parents and students can discuss possible subject choices for the following year.

Parent Teacher Interviews are welcome at any time by appointment. Parents are asked to communicate any concerns to the class teacher or Principal early so that any problem can be solved quickly.
