Major Primary Excursions
There are two main excursions in the primary department. Both excursions are undertaken at the beginning of term 4.
Year 5 - Lake Keepit Excursion
The year 5 excursion is designed to develop leadership and cooperation skills.
This excursion is to Lake Keepit, and is run by NSW Sport and Recreation. The students participate in the Outdoor Education Program, where they participate in activities such as canoeing, kayaking, high and low ropes, the rock wall and problem solving.
- Lake Keepit is located approximately two and half-hours from Inverell.
- Travel is by bus, and 2 females and 2 males accompany the students.
- The students are accommodated in lodges, which sleep up to 14 students.
- The staff, provide 3 main meals plus 3 small meals throughout the day.

This excursion is designed enhance the understanding of students in the Key Learning Areas of Human Society and its Environment and Science and Technology. |

Government of Australia and the development of democracy within Australia Students are taken on a guided tour of Queensland Parliament House

Australia’s unique environment -
Students travel through and observe the various features of a temperate rainforest, as well as visiting a number of the fresh water lakes. The guides from The Fraser Island Safari explain the importance and development of this unique habitat. As we travel along the east coast the children have often seen Humpback Whales on their annual migration

Students are accommodated at holiday parks in ensuite cabins. All meals are provided.
