Music
If you are reading this you are interested in music, and so are we! The study and appreciation of music can be as diverse as music itself and in our school we aim to fulfil the expectations, and occasionally the dreams of our community by:
- presenting the core curriculum to all students in an attractive and positive context
- giving every student the opportunity to be a part of and enjoy the magic of musical experience
- creating an environment where exceptional music talent can be recognized and developed.
All students participate in curriculum based music classes, focusing on performing (singing, playing, moving), organising sound and listening. Dedicated music teachers offer a variety of learning experiences in classroom music and school performances.
Music flows into many areas of Holy Trinity’s culture. It plays a significant role in religious celebrations, such as class and school Masses (including induction and graduation masses), Liturgies, Reconciliation, prayer assemblies and St Patrick Day concerts. Choirs are involved in Infants, Primary, Secondary and whole school performances, (including major musicals). The Secondary Music Department encourages students to participate in a school band, offering the students the opportunity to explore alternative musical pathways and to develop their creative talents.
We are involved in Inverell eisteddfods and are invited to perform at local community special events such as Carols by Candlelight and Blue Ribbon Week. Holy Trinity encourages music students to learn with enthusiasm, enjoyment and excellence.
