Pastoral Care Policy:

The term ‘Pastoral Care’ is taken from the model of Jesus as Pastor, and is the philosophy behind this policy. The policy aims to:

In order to achieve these aims, Holy Trinity determines a policy to provide satisfying learning experiences so as to establish and effective care network.

Liturgical Life of Holy Trinity:

The Liturgical life of Holy Trinity is central to the celebration of all major events in the school. The whole school, K-10, celebrate the Induction of Student leaders, Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, the feast of the Holy Trinity and Thanksgiving for the School Year.
Regular liturgies are held on a monthly basis in each department at the Sacred Heart Church. The Infant’s Department celebrate Prayer Liturgies, whilst the Primary and Secondary Departments celebrate Mass. Individual classes organise and lead these ceremonies. (Parents are most welcome to attend.)
Reconciliation is held on a weekly basis at the school.

Christian Living Days:

Christian Living Days are conducted in the Secondary Department for Years 7 - 9. The days focus on recognising the worth of the individual and developing skills to create harmonious relationships between all class members.

A Christian Living Camp is conducted over three days at Copeton Dam for Year 10 students. The camp aims to give year 10 students an opportunity to spend quality time together before leaving Holy Trinity. The camp focuses on celebrating the past and developing skills to assist in the process of accepting change as the students leave Holy Trinity.

Junior St Vincent de Paul:

The Junior St Vincent de Paul Conference works actively in the Secondary Department. The aim of the Conference is to enrich the lives of the needy in the Inverell community. Meetings are held on a regular basis. The students are involved in fund raising, visiting the sick and elderly in the local community and performing community service for either the parish or the school.

Seasons for Growth:

‘Seasons for Growth’ is a successful education program which explores the effects of change, loss and grief. This change maybe caused by: loss of a loved one, separation, relocation or change in relationships. The program recognizes that change often hurts, can be confusing, frustrating or threatening. It also recognizes that sometimes we need support in understanding and coping with the effects of change and loss.

Holy Trinity offers the Seasons for Growth Program for students who are suffering from a change.
‘Seasons for Growth’ provides a safe, creative way to explore these issues. The program provides participants with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to understand and manage their individual experiences.

Four trained Seasons Companions are on staff to implement the program when child/children are identified as being in need.
